Route 4:

This route began operation (a new route previously had been Annomoe Road to Shelbourne Road) on the 12/03/06 operating from Ballymun to St. Vincent's Hospital (Elm Park). The routing at St. Vincent's was as follows: The buses never entered the hospital grounds instead operating up Nutley Lane, terminating at Elm Park half way down, before continuing onto the Stillorgan Road using the Belfield flyover to turn around and also to lay-by. The route then turned back onto Nutley lane but again only picked up half-way down at the Elm Park stop.

Presently, the route is operating to and from Blackrock (Frascati S.C.), however all documentation (i.e. timetables available) state that it is still operating the previous route. Dublinbus have indicated, as posted on the transport thread of the boards forum, that the route is currently being tested. However given that the previous routing brought the service down Nutley Lane and the new one doesn't, such testing and lack of information is currently at the expense of the customer.
