2024 - Update 5:

Donnybrook's short wheelbase Streetlite, WS1, is seen operating the L25 at its Dundrum By-Pass terminus on the 16th February 2024 (click on photo for larger version).

The early year has brought about a lot of interesting allocations. The slowness into service of the EWs, the corresponding older buses needed for service and a new repainting cycle means it all buses required. Donnybrook has two streetlite single-deckers, the only single-deckers in Dublin Bus' fleet pending the EAs entry into service. Since the Go-Ahead takeover of Routes 59 and 111, except for a short period in 2019 when one operated the 61, there has only been one WS in service at any time with the 44B being the only route operated by them and having a PVR of 1. But last week this changed (starting Tuesday 12th February), with one bus covering the 44B but the other operating the L25 in the morning peak and then operating the solitary 44D in the evening peak. The L25 allocation was board 8, which does one lap on the L25, the 0815 ex Dundrum and the 0915 ex Dun Laoghaire. Hopefully this allocation continues for a while, though it can never be guaranteed hence my rush in getting it on the L25 and 44D (for a future update).
