2023 - Update 16:

Broadstone's PA1 is seen operating the peak-hour only X30 on Dodsborough Road on the 19th May 2023. The X30 is the only city bound service that stops here, the L51 and L52 also shown on the stop being local services (click on photo for larger version).

One route change which hadn't featured on these pages was the change of the X30 and C2 to serve the Shackleton area of west-Lucan. Only a few years ago the 25 served Dodsboro in what after the terminus became a very rural Tandy's Lane. But now the city's biggest source of housing development has been transforming this area in recent years. When the C2 was proposed in the Bus Connects plan it was intended to serve Shackleton but when the spine was launched only back in November 2021, the roads weren't in a complete enough state for bus operation and instead the C2 followed the C1 routing through Adamstown.

Ringsend's PA255 is seen operating the C2 at Shackleton Drive on the 19th May 2023 (click on photo for larger version).

This was changed on the 16th October 2022 when the C2 was rerouted from Old Esker Lane via Shackleton Drive, Adamstown Boulevard to Adamstown Station. The X30 was extended beyond the former Dodsboro terminus along Dodsboro Road and Tandy's Lane onto Adamstown Boulevard to Adamstown Station. But it is worth noting that this is not the final routing either, the proposal in Bus Connects is that the C2 will continue further along Shackleton Drive past the Lidl store and then south towards Adamstown Station, while the X30 will turn off Dodsboro Road onto Shackleton Drive, also past Lidl. Dublin Bus announced that both these routes would take up their final routing via Lidl on the 5th December 2022 but this was subsequently postponed.

Broadstone's SG257 is seen at the "new" Adamstown Station terminus of the X30 departing to Belfield on the one-a-day service via Kew Park on the 19th May 2023 (click on photo for larger version).
