Ringsend's AX455 makes a shock Saturday appearance on Route 56A, operating a solitary lap, is seen passing Broadstone's SG78 operating Route 151 on Cork Street on the 27th January 2024 (click on photo for larger version).

NOTE: No sooner had update 1 been published than the following weekend Ringsend did allow both AXs onto the road on a Saturday, the 27th January 2024. So for the garage that hadn't allocated them as such since their return to service, and had also been very strict on AX weekend workings before they withdrew their AXs for the first time a number of years ago, this came as some surprise. Thanks to Ringsend for the allocations, from us enthusiasts it was much appreciated.

2024 - Update 1:

Ringsend's AX455 is seen operating Route 27 on Greencastle Road on the 15th December 2023 (click on photo for larger version).

One notable occurance missed due to the quantum of S-spine updates was the return of AXs in Ringsend, with former Donnybrook/Harristown AX455 and former Donnybrook/Conyngham Road AX611 rejoining the fleet in late November. Catching up with these buses can be challenging, they are strictly Monday-Friday only and can often be limited to peak hour work. As shown by this feature, the 150 and 27 prove the best routes to catch them on as they have regularly done all day boards on these routes.

Ringsend's AX611 is seen operating Route 150 on Lord Edward Street on the 5th January 2024 (click on photo for larger version).
