Long Road To Pride:

Mid Summer brings Pride to Dublin. Dublin Bus has been a key supported of Pride over the years, and have once again put a significant effort into Pride this year, with no less than 4 buses wrapped in pride colours (AV441, EV64, EV97 and EV98), and no less than 6 buses in the parade itself. This in conjuction with a significant amount of T-side adverts. The campaign is "The Long Road To Pride", celebrating the achievements of the Pride Parade/Protest over it's 50 year history. Once again, Dublin Bus has produced a touching video highlighting the end of the this long road, focussing on those from an older era who had never took part in a Dublin Pride. EV97 was tasked with taking the party to the Pride Parade in Dublin. Congratulations to all those involved. It is a pity that EV97 was not kept on the streets for a while to reinforce the advert, it was unwrapped the day after the parade.

AV441:

Though Dublin Bus have been wrapping some of their city buses in Pride colours for a few years now, this year is the first year that DoDublin, the commercial sightseeing side of the company, has wrapped one of their tour fleet. AV441 had the honour and will continue to operate in this livery for a few months. It is the first all-over-advert since AV397 in its HB advert in 2011. The effect is excellent, and this bus really stands out on the city streets.

EV64:

Conyngham Road's EV64 and Donnybrook's EV98 have both received tri-sided wraps for "The Long Road To Pride". This is the first time the EV class has been used for a Pride wrap. They have been reasonably visible on the city streets this week. Long may it continue.

EV98:

Donnybrook's EV98 is seen its 2019 Pride tri-sided wrap operating Route 11 on Home Farm Road on the 2nd July 2019 (click on photo for larger version).

The 1st bus to be wrapped in a pride wrap was EV98. It received "The Long Road to Pride" tri-sided wrap was EV98 on the 13th June. It can be found mostly on Routes 11 and 7/A/B as per the photos in this feature, though it has ended up on the 46A on at least one occassion. These buses really provide some colour to the city streets over the city period, so let's hope that they last a while longer!
