There has been a few week hiatus on images posted to the site as I haven't been to Dublin much recently. I had just a few hours on Monday. I should hopefully get up a bit more frequenctly in September. Since my last visit, Route 53A had started on the 8th July operating Monday to Friday between Talbot Street and Sheriff Street Upper, serving Gardiner Street, Summerhill, Portland Row, Seville Place, Sheriff Street Upper, Castleforbes Road, North Wall Quay and East Wall Road. The bus runs only between the peaks daytime, and is a solitary duty. It is a bizarre routing with little requirement, and has not been doing well in terms of passenger loadings. My advice would be to take photos now, its similarity to Route 93 might not just be in terms of routing but also in terms of how long it was last. The last SG update noted that the very latest SGs had been withdrawn due to a defect. This has since been rectified and the buses are back in service. Donnybrook's SG allocation is almost complete (SG573 has still not entered service), Harristown are still to receive their full allocation, the highest number in service being SG600 (which is often found on the 25D).

Harristown's brand-new SG599 is seen on D'olier Street operating Route 140 on the 19th August 2019 (click on photo for larger version).
